FOSTER HOME URGENTLY NEEDED...

SYDNEY has been with us now for 13 months, on his arrival he had F.I.A. and benign cancer on his front paws, both cleared after on-going treatment.  A reserved affectionate cat, Sydney will need medication for the rest of his life (paid for by the Rescue) but whoever has the commitment to care for this lovely cat will be repaid a hundred fold with love from Sydney.

I
MINDY came to us with a skin allergy that caused her to scratch continually making her tired and depressed. After the inevitable blood tests MINDY was found to have an under active thyroid which she will need on going treatment for. Her skin condition requires her to have frequent baths in a special shampoo, and we are still going down the long road in finding out what she is allergic to. Obviously she could not stay in kennels for an indefinite period of time and so supporter Elsie Georgeson nobly rose to the occasion having recently lost her dog BESS, and is fostering her.

Betty came into care a lovely black Staffy bitch puppy aged approx 5 months old, limping badly on a front leg. After two days in Kennels the limp not improving and after observing her movement it appears she may have something a little more serious going on. She has been seen by a vet to determine if any treatment is needed at the moment and as we thought X Rays may be the next step towards helping her. No one has come forward to claim her at this stage. If on-going treatment were needed then we would be looking for a knowledgeable home with an experience of Staffy/puppies to foster her.

SCRAP (under) came to us via the RSPCA – his owners were unable to care for him.  No one wanted him as he was very old with a matted coat, long nails, deaf and partially sighted.  He cleaned up and is now a happy lively little dog enjoying life in a lovely foster home.

JUDY Lives with Sylvia and Honey the Lurcher.  She had numerous homes in the past but now enjoys keeping everyone in her new home in order! See under....

At the moment we have one cat and six dogs in long term foster care.

More details and pictures will follow shortly

The dogs are a selection of the animals that we have placed into long term foster care, but who require on going vetinary treatment for their various ailments and injuries.

Whilst the fosterers give a massive amount of love, care and attention to the animals, the rescue is responsible for their long term treatment. This obviously incurs a lot of expense. If you are able to help us offset some of these costs, then everyone, including the animals, will be for ever grateful.

There are many ways that you may help:

A 'one off' donation, either into the rescue funds for general use, or directed at a specific animal.

An undertaking to sponsor the treatment in full, or part, of a specific animal as required.

A monthly standing order into the rescue funds, from a small amount of £5.00 per month up to whatever amount that you wish, for a minimum period of one year. Small amounts from enough people will ease the impact upon our on-going costs, which are considerable

If you elect to sponsor an animal from Alsager Animals In Need, then you will receive a personalised certificate, the charities information booklet, a current newsletter, a photograph and history of the animal concerned. Your sponsorship will help towards the cost of caring for the animal until a loving responsible home can be found.

If you would like to help us in this way, please contact anyone on our 'Contacts' page to discuss the matter in confidence.
